Sunset Beach at night
01:32am 21/01/2007
A couple from my recent Sunset Beach outing with Jeff. It was short, 'cause we were cold, but I got a few good ones anyhow.

Got a few of this sign but I liked this one the best.

I was going for a cheesy postcard shot - this thing actually kinda drives me crazy - but I failed. Jeff said it was too interesting to be a postcard shot.

More random bits
11:12am 18/06/2006
Since I haven't posted anything in a while...

One of a number of signs that were laying around a couple blocks from our place, as part of some construction project.

Graffiti on the inside of the Smile Diner's bathroom door. Bit of a challenge retaining the atmosphere and yet not making it too dark... I think I erred on the too-dark side, slightly.

More text
08:54pm 18/05/2006
I hope no one minds that I'm not cut-tagging these. I'm trying to post only one or two at a time, and if I, at some point, have a compelling reason to post more, I'll cut-tag the rest.

The Joy of Text
11:03pm 12/05/2006
I was messing around with signs and text today. Signs are something I've always found interesting, and I'm considering doing a bit of an extended personal photo project with text and signage. I'm also fond of abstracts, so I'll probably be working that in a bit too.

Borders
09:31am 06/05/2006
Sorry for the inconsistency of my borders and copyright font. I can't remember how I used to do it, now. I may have to look through my older stuff and see if I can figure it out...

Well, now that I finally have a digital SLR (Olympus E-1), you may start seeing things here again. Here are three from my first batch that I shot this evening (right as soon as the battery charged):

Man. I haven't updated this in a while.

I've been in "creative downtime" (read: just haven't felt like it) for a few months, but I'm starting to feel like doing it again. I think I might go through some of my older stuff and do some posting here in the meantime.

Oi...
01:05am 05/10/2004
Wow, I've been lazy lately. I have reams of scans that need doing, though that's difficult here as we just have the flatbed scanner, and my parents and their film scanner are way out in Mission now.

For anyone in Vancouver, I'm going to have a print in an exhibit at the Orpheum starting (I believe) next month, if you wanna check it out.

I've been laz- ...err, busy.

mood: busy
God, I haven't posted here in a while. My S40's currently in the shop for a bit of just-before-going-out-of-warranty repair, and I haven't scanned anything in a while either (been quite busy with moving and such.) My apologies.

This probably isn't good for my CCD...

Never let it be said that I'd miss the chance to cover an unexpected nuclear attack.

A friend and one of his friends were playing pool, so I took a few random shots.

I'm not normally much for Harleys, but I like how this came out. From a night photography outing with the SFU club back in February.

SFU view, and spring
03:52pm 05/03/2004
  Double-header today.

First, a view off the north side of Burnaby Mountain.

Second, the first cherry blossoms of spring! I apologize for the size of this one, but I couldn't get the file size any smaller without sacrificing a whole lot of quality.

Doh!

If I'd remembered to take my camera along today, you'd be looking at pictures of Sikh swordfighting in the Convocation Mall.

I didn't, though.
